With the weather getting warmer we were able to get out the jumper on Saturday for Easter with my family. Rachel and Hunter always love playing in the jumper that Santa gave them a few years ago. Mommy and Daddy like it because it is a great "Babysitter"! Here are a few picures of them playing this past weekend!

Take Me Out to the Ball Game!
Well, we made it through our first practice.... Much to my surprise they did okay..... Rachel caught 4 ground balls... but had much trouble with that heavy bat.. it was much like a cartoon where the person gets pulled to the ground... Hunter was very excited to get out there.. he got a little grumpy after about 30 minutes because he had not gotten to touch the ball.. funny story.. he actually got mad Rachel caught one ball and he was next to her and he hit it out of her glove... there were many chuckles when this happened....however.. once he figured out if he went to the outfield he could get a few steps ahead of the other kids and get the long balls.... After that he was very excited to get the ball 3 times.. He was ready to gloat to his daddy when he get home...Best news of all... RACHEL IS THE ONLY GIRL!! I am going to have to make sure i deck her out in girlie stuff so she doesn't look like a huge tomboy!

HAPPY EASTER!
PETER COTTONTAIL def. made a stop by the Hightower house! On Saturday evening we died Easter eggs. Both Hunter and Rachel really enjoyed it and did it all on their own. We left many eggs out for him to fill and hide. On Sunday we woke the kids up (for a change!) so they could see their baskets! Hunter immediately just dumped his stuff out because he wanted to go find the eggs. We were able to convince him to wait until Rachel was finished with her basket and goodies before hunting. Rachel and Hunter took turns finding each other eggs.. Hunter gave Rachel all the pink eggs. They have not figured out it is a contest yet.. so it was sweet to see them giving each other eggs eagerly. They both said they heard the Easter bunny hopping around in the den.

Spring Pictures!
Well we got our Easter pictures taken last weekend by Uncle Troy! These are a few of my favorites. .. I have been playing with some of the effects to see which I like best.. Some are black and white and some or faded, and sephia.. We are going to wait for Troy to do the final touches (ex. Dirt on Hunter's shirt he can make disappear!) on his editing and touch ups and then Mama is going to get some blown up on canvas for her den! Rachel loved posing for the pictures.. and as you can tell Hunter was more into playing.. I think that he did a great job capturing the essence of Hunter! I have tried other photographers before and they did not know what to do when the kid didn't sit like a statue.. luckily... now I have someone who knows how to work around my wild man!
Enjoy!

Off and Riding!
Well the "Kids" definitely tested out their new toy today! Rachel woke us up at 7 to remind us that we were going riding after church. (Eventually we will get to sleep in..HAHA!) This evening after everyone got cleaned back up.. she wanted to go again...Good News is.. both kids were exhausted and ready to rest! They rode for about 3 hours and as you can see had a blast, Daddy included. What was the highlight of your weekend?

The "Kids" New Toy
First Snow 2008!
We had our first snow of season today! Hunter has been anxiously waiting to build a "real" snowman since before Christmas. He stashed a carrot in the frig in January and couldn't wait to get it out this morning. SO....at 6:30 am Richard and I were awakened by a little voice letting us know the "sun was up" and we could build a snowman now! Bright and early at 6:45 we made it outside and started creating our version of Frosty. Rachel and Hunter loved getting buttons, a hat, scarf, the carrot, and even a pipe for our new friend. Rachel was the Queen of Snow Angels, however, Hunter wasn't a fan of the snow getting it in his hair! Here are a few pictures from our morning.
