The Ball Field

Well, finally!!!! It has stopped raining enough for us to have our first, which should have been 3rd t ball game! Both kids did great. Hunter is number 1, first to bat, and he wasn't too excited about number 1 until we figured out that it is the same number as Thomas the Tank Engine! Rachel is number 9.. so those who know us well.. this was complete luck for what the coach handed out.. what is special about 1 and 9? Slide them together and you have Richard's favorite number.. 19 like his birthday... Which he will be an old 30 year old on May 19th.
During the game both kids really did good. Richard got to help on the field, which they loved. However, we have 3 games from now until Saturday.. and if I know Hunter he will be soo exhausted and tired that he will be "done" by then.
Here are a few pictures.. It was hard to narrow down.. I love the picture of Hunter and the fence.. He came over before getting his stuff to bat to say Hi! Before we left I asked the kids get together so I could take a picture.. Can you see what Hunter did? All I can say is THAT"S SOOO HUNTER!

I love to Embarrass!

I love to embarrass people! It's my thing!! It helps soften the blow for when I embarrass myself!! I took some not soo lovely pictures of my bunko group a few weeks ago! SOOOO I figured I would post them and really embarrass them all!! As for Amy I was nice and didn't post the one of her eating ANOTHER eclair... As for Kathy, sorry it was too easy! Now let's see who actually finds them here ! HEHEHEHE!

My birthday gift

I said yesterday I got a new table for my birthday.. I finally have pictures! It's an antique pup table that was such a great deal I couldn't pass it up! I just can't tell you how much better the room looks.. Now I want a new rug and really cool curtains.. So if my mother in law read this she will know I am getting the itch for new curtains.. New summer projects! HAHAHA!

Weekend Creations

We were very busy this weekend with many projects.. We have decide to expand our backyard by moving out a fence, Richard's putting a shed in there too, and I helped Heather make a cake for a baby shower. I don't have any new pics of the kids because we were soo busy! However, I do have a picture of the cake I made. My next cake is Hunter's Birthday Cake on May 18th.. We will see how it goes! I also FINALLY got a real dining room table.. It is an antique pub table and it looks sooo much better! Now I just need to renovate the rom a little!

They had a scavenger hunt, played in the mud, crawled through a tent full of balloons, played in the mud, dug for worms, played in the mud, found a baby bird and we fed it!, dug in the mud, ate cake, played in the mud, told ghost stories, played in the mud and made smores!..Here are a few pictures of Rachel and Hunter from the party!

Hunter's Garden

Well, if you know Hunter you know he LOVES picking flowers for all girls, helping in gardens (esp. Nella and Butch's), and food! So.. We planted a few seeds to try and start him his own little garden.. I figure it covers the 3 things above that he likes... He waters them everyday.. I have to monitor to make sure we don't drown our little plants.. And this weekend we finally got a tiny sprout for our strawberries.. Right now we are growing strawberries, min. tomatos, tomatos, and sweet peppers.. I want to grow carrots too..Here are some pictures of Hunter's garden. When they are bigger we will move them outdoors. I also posted some pictures of Hunter on Saturday night. For about 20 min. he sat on the counter singing High School Musical songs. He was singing one of the "love songs" over, and over, and over. It was HILARIOUS! He figured out how to go back each time the song ended and was singing the song about I got to go my own way, I hope you understand.. blah blah.. noone was allowed to leave the room..

The Dog, The Yard, This Weekend

Daddy will probably get me for posting this picture... this is Richard's classic yard hair!

Wow.. Look 5 years later she will sit still enough for you to pet her! Rachel had a blast brushing Laney on Saturday while Daddy mulched the flowerbeds (I went shopping, gosh I hate that knee surgery knocked me out of that this year!)

Chef Rachel

Rachel is making post her picture, no joke! She helped me cook on Saturday night.. yeah I know.. me cooking!, and she was a ham with the camera! SO here are the pictures of Rachel for Rachel! And the girl loves corn! Good thing she didn't have her bubba teeth in!

Looking Back

I have been getting stuff together for Hunter's 5th birthday party.. and I was playing on my computer the other day and found some old pictures from his first birthday. I also dug through and found some of Rachel's birthday pictures. I thought it would be fun to post some pictures to remember how sweet they use to be . HAHAHA!! I remember at Rachel's first birthday she refused to eat her cake until she had her spoon.. she had such etiquette with her spoon and fork.. Hunter wasn't as delicate but was definately into the action of his first party (surprised?).. Okay maybe they haven't changed that much? Anyhow.. here are pictures of each from birthday #1!!
